A new academic journal is in the process and the focus is one of particular interest to me — Western esotericism. Correspondences is “an international, peer-reviewed online journal devoted to the academic study of Western esotericism.”  According to the website, “Correspondences is committed to publishing work of a high academic standard as determined by a peer-review process, but does not require academic credentials as prerequisite for publication. Students and non-affiliated academics are encouraged to join established scholars in submitting insightful, well-researched articles that offer new ideas, positions, or information to the field.”

This looks like it could be an exciting project. They have the first issue scheduled for June 2013, so I will be keeping an eye out for that. If you would like more information, please visit the Correspondences website. They are also seeking submissions.

Thank you to Sarah Veale at Invocatio, Egil Asprem at Heterodoxology, and the Cambridge Centre for the study of Western Esotericism for bringing this to my attention.
